Baldwin Records Contacts

This is a private reference resource, not a government office. It cannot confirm custody, release a person, post bond, or pull an official booking record. Contact the office that created or holds the record.

Where to Ask About Baldwin Records

The right contact depends on the question. Baldwin County Jail custody, an MPD incident report, a state-prison profile, and a court disposition are held by different offices. The county booking page explains the full source sequence.

  • Current or recent Baldwin County Jail custody: call BCSO Booking at 478-445-2663. The BCSO contact and FAQ page gives the agency's published Booking fallback. BCSO does not publish Booking hours in the reviewed material, so confirm what staff can disclose.
  • Booking report or intake photograph: use the BCSO open-records request, select Booking Reports, and ask for the photo separately. Records Custodian Sarah Humphries: 478-445-2550, shumphries@baldwinsheriff.com.
  • Warrant record or post-release supervision question: select Warrants on the BCSO request form, call the warrants line at 478-445-6184, or use Most Wanted Fugitives for the public notice route. The BCSO staff directory lists Valarie Parham at 478-445-2147 and vparham@baldwinsheriff.com.
  • Milledgeville police report: contact MPD at 478-414-4090, then use its Police Reports instructions or Records line at 478-414-4076.
  • Court filing or disposition: contact Baldwin Clerk of Superior Court, Wanda Paul, at 478-445-6324, 121 North Wilkinson Street, Milledgeville, GA 31061. Local docket and statewide court routes are described below.
  • State corrections record: use Georgia DOC Find an Offender or its records request route.
  • Federal or immigration custody: use the BOP locator or ICE locator for the custody group each service covers. Before federal sentencing, the U.S. Marshals Service detention overview explains why a local holding facility may be the relevant route.
  • Custody-change alerts: the sheriff's VINE page points to notification options for covered custody events. The VINE service handles covered notifications; neither route is a booking-photo archive.

Baldwin County Sheriff's Office

The sheriff and jail complex is at 119 Old Monticello Road NW, Milledgeville, GA 31061. The main non-emergency number is 478-445-4891. Booking status uses 478-445-2663. Records questions go to Sarah Humphries at 478-445-2550 or shumphries@baldwinsheriff.com. The office does not publish a photo-specific fee, booking-photo response promise, or photo-retention rule in the reviewed material.

For a booking request, identify the person, approximate booking date, case or booking number if known, and the exact record type. The county general open-records form discusses qualified search time, copies, estimates, and response timing, but it does not set a flat price for a BCSO intake photograph. A BCSO incident or accident report uses the agency's separate incident-report request.

Separate records. A police incident report, a jail booking report, a booking photograph, and a court order may require separate requests.

Milledgeville Police Records

MPD Records is at 125 Floyd L Griffin Jr Street, Milledgeville, GA 31061. The Records line is 478-414-4076. Published hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The department lists $10 per report and $20 for a criminal history. Its pages publish slightly different ordinary processing estimates, so treat three business days or three to five business days as estimates rather than promises. The department may request the report number, incident date, and photo identification.

MPD maintains its own arrest records and supporting documents. A city police request does not automatically deliver the BCSO jail booking record or intake photograph.

Courts and Outcome Records

The Baldwin clerk serves Superior, State, and Juvenile Courts. The clerk's page links a local civil/criminal docket and Georgia eAccess. Georgia's court-division guide helps distinguish Superior, State, Magistrate, Municipal, and Juvenile routes. Milledgeville Municipal Court lists a clerk at 478-414-4077 and a deputy clerk at 478-414-4004; sessions are typically the second and fourth Monday, subject to change. Ask the clerk which court and record type controls the case.

A booking entry or news report is not a final outcome. Use the court for a plea, dismissal, acquittal, conviction, sentence, or other disposition.

State, Federal, and ICE Routes

GDC covers state corrections custody and may show an offender photo when available. BOP covers federal inmates in its defined population and publishes no mugshot field. ICE's locator covers its defined detention and limited recent-release population and is not a photo gallery. A missing result in one system does not resolve a question covered by another.

For news, use Baldwin County Crime News as a starting point, then verify the official source. The originating office controls its own record.
